Thank you to Sha for passing me the musical baton. I shall try my best to hold tight (and yes, this is somewhat redundant as it nearly exactly mirros what I have on Wiseacre). For those of you who don't know what it is; I believe it was started by Keegan Jones at The Big Noob (aka; Neubix Studio), and has since been passed rapidly throughout the "blogosphere". Just follow the format (overall); and learn about people and music (and how they are often inexorably intertwined) Total volume of music files on my computer: 26.53 GB The last CD I bought was: "Funeral" by The Arcade Fire (about 4 months ago -- we're buying/selling a house; no time to buy other things, that and there is no money to buy other things) Song playing right now: Grace Under Pressure - Elbow (Cast of Thousands) Five songs I listen to a lot, or that mean a lot to me: [1] : Breathless - Adorable (Against Perfection) a song that was played, acoustically, at our wedding by Jon Taylor -- no, not Duran Duran Jon Taylor [2] : Umbrella - The Innocence Mission (Umbrella) beautiful song about God's grace and love for us, despite our failings, shortcomings and fear ... Latter Days by Over the Rhine is close behind this, in how it moves me emotionally ... [3] : Lull - Radiohead (Karma Police CD1 Import) Perfect summary of the genre they started, and then left after OK Computer -- which bands today are still catching onto [4] : Have you Forgotten - Red House Painters (Songs for a Blue Guitar) I first heard this song, and started to weep. Then I played it for Sonya, now its one of our more treasured songs to listen to.
