Shortly there should be a review I wrote of the newest Death Cab for Cutie album (on RelevantMagazine.com. I'm fairly certain that people will not be happy with my review (because I don't out-and-out love the album). BUT I do like Plans, but I don't feel its great, or even on par with Transatlanticism. I feel DCFC could have done much better (and they've laid the groundwork for me to expect better). I had a bad evening yesterday. My typical Friday's (as I've stated previously) end at 3:30ish, and I go to wind down the week at the Dubliner with my friends Jason and Jared. So right at 3:15 (as I was readying to leave), I get an IM. Then there ensued a "minor" altercation with a client. "Heated" conversations over IM rarely go well; its a horrible place for discussions when there is no body language or tone its hard to know the intent of words. Effective communication often involves more than one sense. But disgress ... There's a tight deadline on a project I'm working on. I think "they" needed to lash out from what I assume is pent up stress. I got the brunt of the pounding. I tried to remain calm. I missed my Friday wind down. There wasn't really a resolution, but my tasks (as far as I can tell) are done. Meh. Saturday chores are calling ...
