A nice way to end a vacation

How was Thanksgiving you ask? Good. Overall good. Its never a vacation as a parent, though as the kids get older there is less to fuss over. Though, our kids are weird -- they wanted to go NO WHERE. Absoluetly no where.
"Hey, let's go to the aquarium in Baltimore!"
-- "I don't want to", "I hate my coat", "Its cold out"
"Hey, let's go look at the lights at Longwood Gardens!"
-- "Its dark out", "I'm tired", "I hate lights"
We did manage to go to McDonalds one day. Other than that it was a leisurely romp of indoor inactivity.
Sonya and I made Thanksgiving dinner, as is becoming our tradition, and I quite enjoy it. Dad brought out his best wines. The kids brought out their best whines.
After all the adjustments the kids have to make to different settings, different foods, grandparent attention, Sonya and I get quite worn out and it will be nice to have Christmas here for the first time. Oh, I also got the flu the day we flew back home - a tread on top of another treat.
