Tell me the story of my birth

The night before Abigails birthday, she asked me to tell her about how she was born (not "how" she was born, we're not to those revelations yet), so here's what I told her on (this past) Friday night:
Almost 7 years ago Mommy and I were up late at night listening to sirens blare and winds blow -- our hearts pounding and we knew you were on the way. It was 2am and Mommy and I both sat up in bed and timed the contrations - little pains in Mommy's stomach that let her know that you were ready to come out and meet us. I remember putting my face to Mommy's belly and you kicking and pushing. We called the doctor to tell her what was going on, but she told us that we'd have to wait at home, since there were tornado's going through the area where we had to go. We waited for hours. I think I feel asleep a few times, and Mommy rocked in the new rocking chair we had just gotten for you. Finally early that morning we we allowed to go to the hospital. But there was a problem. They had no electricity. Mommy and I had to walk up the stairs to the fourth floor because the elevators didn't work. It was dark and quiet in the hospital but it was time for you to come. Mommy bounced a huge ball (called a birthing ball, like the big bouncy ball in our backyard) and walked the hallways as we waited. They gave Mommy something for the pain, and she fell asleep. Then, it was time for her to push you out. In what seemed like a whirlwind of commotion you were out - and saying hello (which was more of a "Ahhh -- its cold and bright out here!"). I cut your umblical cord and the doctors washed you off, stamped your hand and foot prints, swaddled you and gave you to Mommy. I remember smelling your sweet breat - something I'd never smelled before (or since). You were beautiful; and still are. So, at 2pm tomorrow, you - my precious daughter - will be exactly 7 years old.
