A Super Hero Among Us?

Now to interrupt our schedule of a Christmas song a day by Paul, I will blog about an unlikely super hero.
His name is Elliott Armstrong. He is 5 1/2 years old and has an uncanny nack for breaking almost anything he gets his hands on. He has been throwing things since he was 1 inspite of consequences, toy time out etc. He continues to throw. Last night I came upon the kids enjoying an unseasonably balmy evening in our driveway, rolling the leftover parts of Elliott's medium sized monster car - newly disassembled. Abigail says to me, "I told him to stop throwing it around but he didn't listen."
Elliott's response to my wrath and threats of "I'm not going to buy you any more toys if you keep breaking them!!!!!" is a shrug and a simple "okay" like he just doesn't get it. He is a boy of the moment, getting caught up and totally absorbed in his destructively delightfully enjoyable pasttime. Now, if he could only learn to FIX things he might have a useful tool on hand. If this keeps up I just might have to get him into little leaugue where the only thing to throw is a ball (he'll probably throw the bat too though!).
