Recap: Heroes (S1E17)

In my book, this was the best episode of the season, hands down. Incredible.
Chapter 17: Company Man
What we learned
- So Matt and have taken the Bennett's prisoner. They demand to know what Mr. Bennett knows -- to which we're given a glimpse of his past.
- Bennett was hired to be a heavy -- working for a man who needed him to do morally "gray" things. There duty is to find "them" (the "heroes"), though we're unsure exactly what they do.
- Hiro's dad is involved. He demands that Mr. Bennett raise Claire "fatherhood changes a man"; on the stipulation that when she manifests her powers that she be given over.
- Claude (Mr. Invisible) worked with Mr. Bennett; until he was discovered to have been hiding someone and "taken out" by Mr. Bennett.
- Back in the Bennett home, Matt is trying to help calm down Ted so that he doesn't go nuclear on everyone. Mr. Bennett cleverly thinks in Japanese, and then Claire spills the beans (in her thoughts). A plan is concoted (all in everyone's minds) to shot Claire, Matt leave with Bennett to get "evidence" -- just to Ted doesn't flip.
- Mr. Bennett is actually a good guy, who loves his daughter and has been fighting to keep her hidden from "them"; using the Haitian to build a wall of protection
- While trying to calm down Ted with evidence; Mr. Roberts shows up, shots Ted and the whole thing goes to hell. Claire risks herself to give Ted a tranquilizer; nearly vaprizing herself
- In a heart wrenching ending, Bennett erases his own memory and gets shot (to make it look like the Haitian kidnaps Claire) and sends Claire off with the Haitian to go into hiding. Incredibly well done and moving scene.
- What is Hiro's dad? What's his position?
- What are these guys doing with the heroes they find? How do they know where they all are?
- What does that symbol mean -- why do the Haitian and Jessica have it --- is that a symbol of that organization? (which means Claude should have one since he worked for them for a bit).
- I assume that Jessica was and is working for "them"; meaning she probably didn't die, but was just taken away from her family -- meaning she has the power to possess people (and super strength)? I also think that Nikki has no power whatsoever.
- Where will Claire and the Haitian go?
- Who is the chick with Ted -- what can she do?
- What are they going to do with Matt and Ted?
- NEXT WEEK Showdown. Mohinder seems to have caught onto Sylar's disguise, Simone is raised from the dead (there's something about that gun that Bennett -- and others -- use; perhaps it doesn't really use bullets?)
