Reprieve From The Norm

Seeing Mute Math in concert at 20th Century Theater last night was a great break from my normal everyday life and I enjoyed it very much along with my friend, Jennifer. I actually went out on a "girl's night............I actually went out - period!!! Paul encouraged me to go and stayed behind, putting Abigail and Elliott to bed. He's seen the band play before, but it was a loving sacrifice he made by encouraging me to go out and have a good time, because believe it or not.......I usually come up with an excuse not to go out.
It was a-ma-zing! Writing music reviews is NOT my gift, so I will spare you and save that for Paul who has a talent for that among many other things. I wish that I had taken him up on bringing his (5lb) camera along to get a few shots, but I have feelings of inadequacy with the camera for very good reasons! I like to enjoy the fruit of Paul's gifted camera work and figuring out a camera is not my thing either. There was one instance when the blue lights looked like swirling nebulea behind the lead singer. They were dynamic and energetic. It was fantastic.
Now my 35 year old body is tired. Getting to go to a concert is a rarity as a parent since it's hard to find sitters who can stay up on a school night, plus I couldn't keep up with those kinds of late nights, standing and wasting my prime time energy on opening bands which leave me feeling tired by the time THE band I'm waiting from comes on stage. Such is life =-). All I wanted to hear again this morning when I got up though was MUTE MATH. I can't say enough great things about them.
So, the break from the norm is over and now it's time to prepare supper.......I wonder what I'm going to make since the ground beef is still frozen.
