The Wedding Photographer

So, I'm here in Atlanta for another 10 minutes or so -- and felt like I could quickly post something. I did my first wedding photography gig yesterday. The setting on Seaside couldn't have been more perfect. It LITERALLY was the setting the for "The Truman Show". Its an odd world there. As I walked with the bridesmaids and bride toward the beach, we stopped to snap a shot in a gazebo along the road (in a round-about intersection). Immediately a frizzy haired older woman came running out on her cellphone. telling us to leave. Soon after a golf cart drove up, and a lady (on her cellphone) told us if we wanted to take pictures there, it would cost us $2500. I got 2 shots off; and we all kept walking toward the reception. Needless to say it was a good, busy, tiresome weekend. I didn't eat much, or sleep much; and shooting a friends wedding is difficult; not only did I have a job to do, but I always wanted to try and enjoy the event -- but the job came first. Congratulations Mark and Teressa!
