Road to recovery

I've been in a semi-coma, restless slumber of hell for the past few days -- or what some people like to call "the flu". Today I feel ok, but there's a strange feeling of disconnection, like being abducted and returned in what to you feels like hours, but has been weeks to everyone else. So I missed the "official" testing for taekwondo yesterday (as Sonya and the kids were able to break their boards, do their forms and graduate onto another belt level). I'm still trying to figure out what day it is.
An intriguing question was asked this morning about influences on your life (spiritually) and I thought to myself -- who were/are the 3 most influential people -- not things (so no books, or historical figures of the past -- no "give me" answers like Jesus or Einstein or Steve Jobs) -- but people who've personally and directly influenced my life. I know for sure my father is on that list. The other 2 I'm still pondering, reflecting, digging into who I am and how I've gotten here.
Then there's another wrinkle -- who am I influencing? Who one day will say "Paul was an influence in my life" (besides my children, whom I'm not even certain will say I'm an influence). This isn't a concrete answer, I may and probably will never know whose life I'm influenced, but I can only influence if I'm attempting to be "out there", doing things, being involved, sharing, openly volunteering whatever it is I have to offer.
So I ask you the same question -- who are those 3 influential people in your life? Who are you influencing?

it might not be very creative or cool answers, but the three most influential people in my life are my dad, mom, and wife. no one else really even comes close.

Hope you're feeling better.
My parents definitely influenced my life, but I'm not sure who the third of the influence triumvirate would be.
Paul, you’ve had a pretty big impact on my life — I wouldn’t be a graphic designer if it weren’t for you.

Wow Mike, thanks. I remember talking with you when you were at GCB and contemplating new work -- getting you to move out here, working for Standard. Seems like ages ago. But thanks, I truly appreciate that. I miss our get togethers.
