This is word for word what Miss Teen USA South Carolina answered in response to this question:
"Recent polls have shown that 1/5th of American's can't locate the U.S. on a world map, why do you think this is?" "I personally believe -- that -- US American's are unable to do so -- because a -- somea -- people out there in a our nation don't have maps, and I believe that our education, like such as in South Africa and The Iraq, everywhere like such as, and -- I believe that they should -- ah -- our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., or -- ah -- should help South Africa and should help The Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future, for our ..."Made sense to me. She's obviously confused as to what the "US" of "Americans" is -- apparently the US is The Iraq and South Africa; and we need to educate people in those areas, so that we can understand where we are on the map.
Yeah, it makes no, such as, like, sense.

**weeps softly** Makes me almost miss teaching English this year. Talking like that is only funny when it's in Zoolander.

It's actually quite painful to listen to. How.Why.I just can't believe there are really people like that. I am certain she's one of the 1/5 of the said American's.

It does seem like it should have been a deleted scene from Zoolander, although it is so hilarious, I don't think it would have made the cutting floor. In a way, I feel bad for her. Can you imagine what she's going to say to her kids when they are tortured at school for what she did (or didn't say)?

Now she appears to be capitalizing on it --- appearing on morning talk shows to rebuild her good name. What saddens me is that she wants to be a graphic designer ...

Well, in graphic design, maybe she won't talk so much; that would be an improvement. Let's just hope her understanding of design isn't like her understanding of where she is on the map!!
