Distractions: Failure Pile in a Sadness Bowl

I should just change the name of this site to "Distractions Forever", I'm not sure if its more entertaining to list these random links or to rant about our somewhat interesting, mostly dull life -- either way, I'll do my best to write about things that interest me and by proxy you -- (by proxy? not sure if that's accurate or makes sense -- probably doesn't, so nevermind) . Here goes:
- Drinks to avoid like poison -- I've not tried any of these (though "Cement Mixer" is close to Bailey's and Grand Mariner)
- Many of you may have seen this already, but I wanted to be sure to plug the Sigur Ros film Heima trailer -- beautiful.
- The worlds first skyscrapers found in the city of Shibam, Yemen
- Cool products to be found at The Spoon Sisters
- Strange traditions from around the world (yeah, eunichs ... ugh)
- 100 Undiscovered websites (which sort of begs the question, if they're undiscovered, how can there be a list of them? How can you find what isn't known to exist? I didn't see Armstrong Circus in there, so I discount them as being biased right off the bat)
- Cool video about Richard Nagy creates his retro-futurist laptops -- a new movement known as SteamPunk (reminds me of Terry Gilliam)
- Funny town names
- The History Of The Discovery Of Cinema (one weird, long title but chalk full of interesting history and information)
- Some videos with John Cleese: The Beekeeper, Anti-Semitism, Hires Man to Kill His Mom, Compaq Computer and the Dead Fish
- When construction goes bad
- Feed The Head -- I've been here before, but its been update; so easy to get lost (thanks Lance for reminding of the site)
- I try my best (lately) to stay away from those Top 37 Blabbidy Blah Poop Head lists, but sometimes they're just too interesting to pass up; Top 10 Hoaxes of All Time
