Distractions: At Least You're Not Britney Spears Edition

Today is a day of quite a bit of emotion for me, and many of you. Like the generation before us (with President Kennedy's assassination) we all remember where we were the day those planes knocked the towers down. Rather than rehash or become engrossed in political bantering about wars, lost causes and semantics, I'm going to keep it status quo.
- Want to do something meaningful today -- go to MyGoodDeed.org and see all the various opportunities to volunteer or donate to very worthwhile causes and charities.
- Boys On Wheels -- its ok to laugh (I think), though you will feel the flame of hell lapping at your ass as you do. (via via via)
- Celebrity commercials (before they were celebrities)
- My Kid Could Paint That -- a film about modern art, perceptions and value and one little girl who just paints and is embraced as a modern master.
- Madeleine L'Engle interview from Veritas Forum -- Searching Through Truth Through Fantasy. Madeleine died Thursday, September 6th; I know she was hugely influential on my sister and many other kids who read "Wrinkle In Time" or "Ring Of Endless Light" (or many more of her books). I was hugely inspired by "Walking On Water" and how it related to faith and the arts. (Video via)
- Elliott Smith covering the Beatles -- a complete list
- Ignorant restaurant customer quotes
- Ugliest Celebrities -- Michael Jackson barely qualifies as human, let alone a celebrity (anymore)
- World's Smallest... everything related to those 2 words
- Lifestyles of the Rich and Smart
- SturgeonFace -- referring to the fish -- the sturgeon -- and it's down turned lips/mouth(via)
