Does anyone blog anymore?

There seems to be an epidemic of anemic blogging going through the webbery (I just made that up and I'm not entirely sure I like it), an illness, or perhaps a weeding out of the commonplace and mundane. I'm afraid that I feel myself and this blog slipping into that category -- or maybe too much life is happening to want to document it for all the world to (potentially) see.
Needless to say, we've been busy. On the high side: Both kids are fine and well. Abigail made the honor roll. I'm finding more and more meaningful and enjoyable work. We can pay the bills. I'm growing a beard. The coffee business is ready to take off. Our friend Luke is in town. On the lowside: That dammed mole has destroyed our backyard. Its dark way too early, which seems to bring on an onslaught of gloominess. I'm growing a beard, and it itches (everyone). I'm feeling uncreative.
How's life been for all of you?

As for blogging, I feel that is is sort of like the ocean. Sometimes I feel when the tide comes in, I am all over it. But when the tide goes out, I don't have anything to say and cannot find anything worth posting on the net. It might be depression...who knows.
I want my distractions!

Life is great. Had session until 1215 am last night, the experiecne was frustrating. I have to go meet the "discoverer" of our obesity/ Types 2 diabetes drug for dinner tonight (and he's worse thatn your beard itch), It's raining and foggy, and the stock still won't go up and i need to raise !2-13 Million in the next few weeks (piece of cake!) . Otherwise I am looking forward to driving- by the way which wines do you want me to bring??

for me it really goes in waves, like trent said. those low tides might be increased workloads, family needs, or simply a lack of creativity. it always comes back. maybe everyone is taking a collective time out to get centered again. maybe it's a massive anti-nablopomo protest movement.
it's good to see you're still here, though, even with everything else going on.

A little summary: I don't blog much anymore about my life or how I feel. I do write a little bit on my Myspace page. I'd like to start a blog about marketing, but there are a number of things holding me back on that, including a dozen other things I want to do. I'm hoping to be able to buy Christmas gifts for family this year. I'm still dealing with partnership-related tax issues from 2006. I won $100 on iWon.com after 8 years of being a member and visiting the site daily. I'm fighting SAD without drugs and going to the gym regularly. I'm very close to being out of credit card debt. I feel like I'm approaching starting to get back on my feet in life but I still have the feeling that the other shoe is going to drop and I'm going to be struggling again any day. I didn't participate in Whiskerino because I don't like starting things I know I can't finish. I'm letting the beard grow out anyway, until I need to chop it in January.
I think that blogging continues to cross over from the cathartic vent to the more factual and informational side of writing. Every company, consultant, author, musician and artist has a blog. Sites like Myspace, Facebook and LinkedIn are replacing traditional blogs. On sites like these, you don't have to write something every day to keep your site fresh. Just visit and update periodically. Blog if you want. Make new connections. I'm not all that good at it. The blogs that continue are factual, fun, amateur/topical, or professional/topical.

Yeah, I think I'm fumbling to find a "niche" for this Circus blog -- though randomness is a type of niche. I feel in no way authoritative in the realm of -- well -- anything; which I suppose is a great deal of the problem. Whether it be parenting, humorous links, design, music, film; I feel I only marginally find ways to stating the obvious.
