Distractions: Friday Couldn't Come Any Sooner Edition

It must be the start of Fall because suddenly, I have a cold. I'm desperately in need of some distractions, after all the political posturing of the past few weeks; anything is better than enduring whining.

• The worst metal fusion band ever (maybe), Behold the Arctopus playing "Alcoholocaust from Nano Nucleonic Cyborg Summoning"
• The Photoshop Challenge: guess which pictures are untouched, and which are Photoshopped (I only got a 73%)
• Hippies cry (like they're watching the parents be killed in front of them) over a dead tree
• The true (and disturbing) origins of nursery rhymes
• As unappetizing as it looks, I'd probably eat this -- Hot Beef Sundae

• I find this completely amazing -- follow a falcon as it dives, reaching top speeds in access of 200mph
• How to turn "water" (to be more accurate, a liquid substance) into marbles immediately when they hit the air. Pretty amazing.
• Putting animals into trance
• Socotra Island (off the coast of Africa) -- easily the most alien looking place on earth.
