Hollywood believes you're stupid

I've long been under the impression that the film industry has lost its creative juices, and that television has become the playground of daring directors, writers and actors. I don't have any real solid numbers but I'd dare say that 86% of movies suck, as in they're horrible, worthless wastes of time and energy. Well, I might have a little more ammo than just my opinion.
Here's a brief list of movies that actually got a "greenlight" (meaning millions of dollars for staff, cast, crew, equipment rental, script written and rewritten, catering, make up, pet care, lawn care, milk, et al) from major Hollywood studios, proving that Hollywood is the suck and they think you're stupid:
- Asteroids The Movie
- Candyland The Movie
- Where's Waldo, The Movie
- Battleship, The Movie
- Monopoly, The Movie
- Stretch Armstrong
- Baywatch, The Movie
Let's not mention the unnecessary remakes, or better yet:
Meanwhile great and original sripts most likely pass from studio to studio (who are too afraid to take a chance on anything remotely original or new). This is why television is surpassing film in terms of creativity and storytelling. So, rather than waste 2 hours and over $10, start watching one of these spectacular television series: Breaking Bad, Rescue Me, Mad Men, Flight of the Concords, Bones, 30 Rock, Better off Ted, Battlestar Galactica, Friday Night Lights

I'm holding out for Tiddly Winks The Movie. You scoff, yet this is the only game my dad and I used to play together when I was small.
Seriously, though, I'm also getting tired of things that are coming out of Hollywood. Recently wrote about formulaic comedies.

2. The Crusty Stuff From Milk Cartons Attacks!
3. Twitter, The Action Movie
4. Web Development Meeting Part IV
5. Flight Control
6. Red Flashing Lights Of A VCR

I loved them too, which is why I don't understand why they should be remade.
